We are so grateful to have 3 beautiful children in our home! We have a baby again this year for the holidays who is almost 10 months old now, she was born a month after last Christmas. In The Einer home, The holiday season extends beyond Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years - it has been extended by our 3 kids’ birthdays all in January, February & March and we don’t have another kids’ birthday until next year when (GULP) I have a second kid turning into a teenager who isn’t home this year. Again, I’m blown away incredibly by people I am fortunate enough to work with whether its just for a minute or a week, few months, or a lifetime.

I’ve been working a bit with a young woman this week who has asked for my help with splash pages, yet she has submitted a few to my exchange that she’s a member of. In one of my recent emails, I told her that I was impressed by her splash pages already and told her in all honesty that I don’t think that mine would do hers justice even though, not to toot my own horn here, but I am good none the less.

She wrote back and told me that she was experimenting with splash pages and how they’re made. (Easy as pie actually, my 13 year old can make them. I can whip out a simple in less than 5 minutes!). But that wasn’t the point I’m driving here.

It was the mere fact that she’s experimenting with new things, figuring out the mechanics of this to learn of how all this works and how she can benefit from it. The point is, its smart to research & experiment with what you have and go with what works. Trial & error is how a lot of us got our start & became successful.

Exactly, how many of you have followed me for how long and seen me go through this that and the other? Well my business isn’t perfect and has so far to go. But I haven’t gotten to where I’ve gotten to with the simple basics - setting up shop & selling online.

This young lady is totally on the right track with learning and starting to experiment & dig deep into the true guts of the biz. Many a time have I done this, having gone into my cpanel to see what’s there, in fact Sha, that’s where your techs have had a problem - with my gazillion databases etc. a lot of which are my little experiments of what I had in my fantastico auto-installer in my cpanels (it more simple terms, the programs in my hosting) - that’s partially what I mean by “digging deep into the guts”. Many a time I’ve seen people pay big bucks for programs that don’t work half as good as some programs in their hosting that they probably pay less than $20 a month for (which is the average rate for good hosting).

What impressed me about this email was that this young lady knew to dig deeper & research which is something a lot of people don’t do. This is something for you to think about, ponder, consider and apply to your business if you’re struggling. Again, some think its cut & dry - set up shop & sell. For some people that’s all they want, that’s all it takes for them and that’s fine - more power to them.

But this is not the tell all, one size fits all solution for everyone. For me, I’m not happy with just one thing, nor have I found just one thing that alone works, but you mix it all together, and add it up and it adds up.

Yet I’m so far behind and I know it (I thought I’d take a second and apologize for that real quick), but its a lot because there is so much more to the biz than meets the eye, and mesh that with time you spend where needs be and the family you work at home for. But it is for the family you work at home for that you should dig in and see what you’re options are - you never know what you will find that will make the big huge difference in your business - Yeah - that big differen$e
